episode 17: bob dylan rolling thunder revue tribute
Tuesday, May 22, 2007 at 01:43PM
this past weekend in an East Village club, Club Midway, took place an affectionate remembrance and revue of the fabled 1974 Rolling Thunder Revue, which the downtownTV.com founder enjoyed in 3 different cities in its original incarnation, and enjoyed once again this past weekend. an assortment of musical characters of the first order changed off as in the original and provided a thoroughly modern downtown take on that great event. be they harmonikatz, musically capable and affably able music industry-ites, a rolling good time was had by all.
there was some confusion about who performed Queen Jane Approximately so well and now we can say with certainty that it was Marc Philippe Eskenazi, a touring member of Albert Hammond, jr.'s group.
