these kindred spirits of all ages and sorts are an eclectic crew and include a unique cabal of positive and passionate people, puppets, popsters, musicians, singers, spinners, filmmakers, videomakers, artists, freestylers and free spirits, rockers, humorists and humanists, urbanites and globalites who help create downtownTV.com. they are the collaborative denizens of downtownTV.com.

downtownTV.com is conceived and produced by Steve Paul. he has created and produced television shows for public access, national syndication and HBO. he is a Tony-nominated producer whose shows have been produced in cellars and penthouses, on Broadway and at the Kennedy Center in Washington. his management and record companies produced Grammy Award winning records for Muddy Waters as well as Number One triple-platinum rock and roll albums and sold out arena shows across the country.

with its homebase not in any traditional studio but freely traveling through a wide range of clubs, venues, streets, lofts and homes in downtown New York and downtown anywhere, downtownTV.com will both lower and raise the bar a bit while entertaining the global downtown community –– kids of all ages who will welcome its free-spirited take on classic and new television entertainment.

in its first 3-year phase downtownTV.com has had no profit component and has been self-funded and produced by volunteers.

now entering its second phase, it will seek revenue from single sponsor programs, branded entertainment shows and networks, affiliate sales, concept and content creation and sales to multiple broadcast platforms and concurrent social communities and show-related online stores.
