downtownTV.com is conceived and produced by Steve Paul. he is a Tony-nominated producer whose shows have been produced in cellars and penthouses, on Broadway and at the Kennedy Center in Washington. he has created and produced television shows for public access, national syndication and HBO. his management and record companies produced Grammy Award winning records for Muddy Waters as well as number one triple-platinum rock and roll albums and sold out arena shows across the country.
with its homebase not in any studio but freely traveling through a wide range of clubs, venues, lofts and homes in downtown New York and downtown anywhere, downtownTV.com and its subsequent affiliates will both lower and raise the bar a bit while entertaining the worldwide masses of the global downtown community –– kids of all ages who will welcome its free-spirited take on classic and new television entertainment.

in its second phase it will seek outside funding and will derive revenue from single sponsor programs, branded entertainment, affiliate sales, multiplatforming royalties and additional social community and creative content elements featuring "my downtown", a unique filtered interactive user-serving global downtown community.
